I want to be a fairy...

Georgia just loves dressing as a fairy at the moment. We can't go anywhere without her fairy skirt and wings. She was given a tinkerbell skirt and wings for her 2nd birthday from my cousins that she wears everyday, so I decided to make her a new fairy skirt. The wonderful and very talented Mel suggested a simple design, so I gave it a go and it is a huge hit!! It is a rainbow skirt, so Georgia has named it the rainbow fairy skirt just like the one that the rainbow fairy wears on her dvd.

Here are some pictures...

I also bought her an adorable little shirt recently for a birthday party we went to at Hungry Jack's. It has little fairy wings attached to the back. She loves it and has to check quite regularly that the wings are still there as they are so tiny...

Here is picture of her before the party in her fairy wing shirt...

And another of mummy and Georgia...

You can't see the wings on the shirt, but I think she looked gorgeous. She is such a girly girl.

When's my birthday??!!

We celebrated my birthday today and Peter asked Georgia to sing mummy Happy Birthday. She sang the first line - Happy Birthday to you - then dropped her lip and asked "when's my birthday??". That was all that she sang. Peter tried a couple of times later in the night to get her to sing, but the same thing happened....

Very funny, I laughed and she asked "what happened mummy?". It is very hard to explain to a 2yr old that we all have birthday's at different times of the year and that her birthday wasn't for another number of months. She was very disappointed.

My names not Georgia!

Today we had issues with names, Georgia informed me today that her name is not Georgia it is Georgia Rose. So everytime I would call Georgia, she would quickly correct me by telling me her name is Georgia Rose. I was in trouble a lot!

Two year olds say the funniest things, we were in the yard this afternoon playing and Georgia decided to pick me some flowers (our yard needs a serious mow!). She then picked the "nicer" ones off of the bush and through some back in the garden. I asked her what she was doing and she told me "those ones are a bit gross". I have no idea where she got this phrase from as we don't say that. Obviously something from daycare, it had me in stitches.

Lickers/Knickers???

This morning Georgia woke around 7am. I went in to see her and give her a cuddle (this is my favourite time of the day, when she first wakes up) and she got out of bed and asked to "wear her lickers". I asked her to repeat herself as I had no idea what she was talking about and she said again "I want to wear my lickers". She then got very frustrated (poor little chicken has a cold, so her patience are not very high) and went to her cupboard, she pulled out a pair of spotty knickers and said "I want to wear my spotty lickers".

It was hilarious. I asked her to call them knickers. I started laughing and she asked her favourite question at the moment - what happened mummy? I told her she is very funny sometimes and she put a big smile on her face, as she likes to make mummy and daddy laugh (which she does numerous times every day!).

Anyway, I had to share that story with you, I thought it was so funny and was a very fun start to the day.

A story for Georgia

I have recently come across some blogs posting stories of their children as the grow up and I thought, what a wonderful idea.

The thought of having a story that Georgia could read when she grew up was amazing.

I would love to be able to go back and read about some of the funny and amazing things I did when I was younger.

So that is what this blog is all about.

It is also to update family on what is happening in Georgia land... because as I am sure anyone who has a two year old little angel knows, life is never dull and there is a story to tell just about every day!!
